• backup power supply from a supercapacitor (ionister). The technology is new, it consists in installing a capacitor, which accumulates a certain amount of energy for the correct shutdown of the recorder in case it is disconnected from the power supply. Differences from a conventional battery – wear resistance, preservation of properties for a long time in different operating conditions. Minus – it is designed for the correct shutdown, while the built-in battery can work up to 10 minutes. True, already in the first years of operation, it loses more than half of its capacity, which makes the use of an ionister relevant.

The ionister will last longer than the battery, so the disadvantage lies in distrust of the new technology.
